Description
An original German M40 steel helmet that has recently come in from an Antique dealer friend I am not a helmet expert so please use your judgement it is maker stamped HKP62 side skirt and 899 on the rear apron the decal appears to have been burnt at some stage but still remains quite clear I have spot testing the decal I tried a tiny spot of thinners and even paint remover to see if it lifts and nothing will touch it it is highly metallic but i cannot gtee the decal
The liner looks like an untouched example it has age related wear all 3 liner pins are original The chinstrap is eagle stamped the price is reflected in my uncertainty of the decal and strap but you may know more than me a very decent helmet.
