Japanese WW2 Naval Dagger with very rare hanging straps

Description

A WW2 Japanese 1883 Pattern Naval Dirk. Commissioned officers model. Used up to 1945. In excellent condition.
This example is a mid war tanto with a wood mekugi
peg and plastic on the grip, this was used instead of
fish skin because of its scarcity. It has a decent blade with minor age blemishes no edge damage the scabbard retains all leather and fittings the very rare hangers are in red leather and fitted with brass lion head buckles over a fifty year period I have only ever seen two sets of straps on these dirks as they always get separated and lost
This is a very fine example of this kind of dirk.and even more desirable with its straps.
